Lemon balm has a history of use and cultivation in the Mediterranean region extending back 2,000 years and has since been grown throughout all of Europe. Also known as “Melissa” or “Bee Balm”, this herb has been employed to calm the heart and the body since ancient times. Its lemony flavor uplifts the spirit and any culinary dish it is added to. Lemon balm is additionally used for making perfumes, in cosmetics, and in furniture polish manufacturing.

Our organic lemon balm extract is made from fresh organic aerial portions at our extract facility in Eugene, Oregon. The flavor is light and lemony and can be enjoyed directly on the tongue or in water or juice. It is commonly combined with valerian extract for a lovely synergistic blend. Lemon balm tincture can be added to a variety of teas including our peace Tea, and for an extra bright blend, our lemon Tea.

• 1 oz. and 2 oz. extracts come in amber glass bottles with a dropper.
• 8 oz. and 16 oz. sizes come in amber glass bottles with a plastic screw cap and do not include a dropper.
• 32 oz. extracts come in plastic bottles with a plastic screw cap.
