Organic green pearl tea is grown and harvested by Nepal’s first cooperatively run tea operation. This means that the profits earned go directly to the workers and their community.
This delicious and delicate tea has flavors that will be familiar for fans of Japanese green teas. Fresh and green with earthy notes of seaweed, Nepalese green pearl tea unfolds beautifully as it steeps. A little sweetener or milk of your choice will help soften the sharper flavors.
The creation of this fine tea begins with roasting the leaves which keeps their vibrant green color. They are rolled to break the cell walls, which releases oils and enzymes, and then tossed until they form into tight balls before the final stage of oven drying.

Aroma and Flavor
This flavorful cup has a green, grassy aroma that is reminiscent of cut hay. It has a fresh flavor with earthy undertones and a pleasant bitterness typical of green teas.
Brew Instructions
Fill 1 teaspoon of tea in a cloth tea bag or mesh basket and place in your favorite mug. Pour 8 ounces of boiling water over the tea and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes. Experiment with the steep time and quantity of tea and find your ideal cup!
