Eleuthero Root Extract Organic

Also called Siberian ginseng, eleuthero is a member of the Araliaceae family and grows in mountain thickets throughout Japan, China, Korea, and Russia. Eleutherococcus spp. is a large, understory shrub growing up to 15 feet in height, with palmate leaves, and bristle covered stems. The root has a long history of use for its wellness supporting properties in many traditional Asian and Russian healing systems and has recently become well known globally.

Eleuthero is best known as an adaptogen and has been part of the herbal repertoire in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for thousands of years. Considered energetically warming, eleuthero root is utilized in TCM to invigorate qi, strengthen and nourish the spleen and kidney, and to balance vital energy. It was also used in Korean and Russian folk medicine, not only for increasing stamina but for promoting overall health.

Our eleuthero root tincture is made with organic root and organic alcohol at our extract facility. Pungent and slightly bitter in taste, eleuthero extract can be taken alone in water or juice. It also pairs well with other extracts such as holy basil extract, ginkgo extract, or schisandra extract for a personalized blend. This tincture can even be added to herbal teas such as dawn chorus tea.

• 8 oz. size comes in an amber glass bottle with a plastic screw cap and does not include a dropper.
