Organic fresh ginger oil is steam distilled from the fresh roots of Zingiber officinale, this top to middle note has a bright aroma like freshly-sliced ginger. Popular in aromatherapy and perfume formulations, fresh ginger essential oil will blend well with palo santo, frankincense, grapefruit, or other citrus oils. The aromas of the dried root distillation and fresh root distillation are quite different. The fresh root oil has a bright note in comparison, where the dried root oil has the traditional grounding rooty notes to the aroma.
Both are very pleasant, and we recommended that you try both to see which you prefer. In general they can be used interchangeably in both perfumery and aromatherapy blends depending on the aroma characteristics you are looking for.
Blends Well With
Cedarwood, citrus oils, clove, coriander, eucalyptus, frankincense, geranium, grapefruit, jasmine, juniper, neroli, orange, palmarosa, palo santo, patchouli, rose, sandalwood, vetiver, and ylang ylang
Packaging
1/2 oz. and 1 oz. essential oils are packaged in amber glass bottles with drop reducers for easy application. Larger sizes are packaged in amber screw cap bottles and do not come with reducers or droppers.
Precautions
This oil has no known precautions. Never use essential oils undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner. Keep away from children.
Before using topically, perform a small patch test on your inner forearm or back by applying a small quantity of diluted essential oil and apply a bandage. Wash the area if you experience any irritation. If no irritation occurs after 48 hours it is safe to use on your skin.
