Our organic ginger hydrosol imparts the warm and zesty aroma of fresh ginger root. This hydrosol may be used in place of water in any body care formulation, in DIY cleaning recipes, or as an uplifting aroma spray in combination with your favorite essential oils.
Ginger has been used for thousands of years by humans on practically every continent. Did you know that ginger was one of the first spices exported from East Asia? Around 500 B.C. Confucius wrote of using ginger in every meal! Ginger root is also well known for its stimulating properties.
Our organic ginger root hydrosol is uplifting when used alone as a light body mist, evoking the spicy and alluring scent of freshly cut ginger. This aromatic water contains 1,8-cineole, neral, geranial, and geraniol.
Other hydrosols such as lime, turmeric, and blood orange combine splendidly as blends to use in place of water for tropically inspired creams or lotions. Enhance the brightness of organic ginger hydrosol with other spiced essential oils such as fennel, eucalyptus, cardamom, and black pepper for a bewitching aroma spray. Lavender and peppermint essential oils combined with ginger hydrosol to make a wonderful mist to help when we are feeling foggy.
This ginger hydrosol is artfully distilled in the Pacific Northwest from the fresh roots of Zingiber officinale using water-steam distillation. Suitable for cosmetic use.
Packaging
The 3oz. size comes in an amber glass bottle with a mister top. Our 8oz., 16 oz., and 1 gallon bulk sizes come in plastic bottles without misters.
