Red Raspberry Extract Organic

Raspberries are said to have been discovered by the Olympian gods themselves while searching for berries on Mount Ida. These berries are indigenous to Asia Minor and North America, with the first records of domestication coming from the writings of the ancient Roman agriculturist Palladius. In medieval times raspberries had a variety of uses including the creation of paintings and illuminated manuscripts using the juice of the berries. The first mass cultivation of raspberries was said to be requested by King Edward the 1^st (1272-1307), which led to the popularity of the berries spreading throughout Europe. Teas of raspberry leaves were taken by the women of the Cherokee, Iroquois, and Mohawk nations in North America, and have earned the approval of the authoritative British Herbal Compendium.

Raspberry leaf is considered astringent due to the presence of tannins in its constituents. The leaves are also rich in minerals, making this a very beneficial botanical. Its use is commonly employed by women due to its affinity for the wellness of females. Red raspberry leaves are generally prepared as an infusion or tinctured.

Made in small batches at our extract facility in Eugene, Oregon using organic alcohol, our organic red raspberry extract is crafted with care and quality. Red raspberry tincture is aromatic with a subtly bitter and sour botanical flavor. This extract can be taken alone or in water or juice. Red raspberry extract pairs well with dandelion root extract or nettle leaf extract among others. Add a squirt of this tincture to a cup of blossoms of health tea or dawn chorus tea for an added boost.
